BRIEF REPORT: BLOOD CANCER AWARENESS & STEM CELL REGISTRATION DRIVE

DATE: 6th OCTOBER 2026

The NSS Unit, Loyola College, Williamnagar in collaboration with DKMS Foundation India today successfully conducted a highly successful, purposeful, insightful, educational and productive Awareness Programme on Blood Cancer & Stem Cell Registration Drive at the Loyola College, Mama Block Hall.

     

 The programme was held in two sessions.

Session-I for 5th Semester Arts Students (10:00-12:00 Noon) and Session-II for NSS Volunteers (1 PM-3:00 PM) - enlightening 300+ students on how a simple cheek swab can be a lifeline for blood cancer patients.

My sincere thanks to Sr. Josh, NAAC Convener for gracing the awareness programme with her esteemed presence and for her constant encouragement towards such extension activities.

 

Profound gratitude to our three esteemed Resource Persons from DKMS Foundation India - Ms. Saswati Dutta, Mr. Pritam Biswas and Monumi Roy, who travelled all the way from Banglore and Kolkata to enlighten our students and to eradicate blood cancer with a noble mission.

 

Heartfelt thanks to our dedicated NSS Programme Officers for their impeccable planning and execution, to our NSS Leaders and Volunteers for living the motto "NOT ME, BUT YOU", and to our 5th Semester Students for their mature and compassionate participation.

 

A Special Salutation to our 20 NSS Volunteers who assisted tirelessly throughout the day in registration, guiding, swab collection and directing general students with utmost discipline and selfless spirit. You are the backbone of today's success.

 

Today Loyola has not just organized a programme, but has pledged to give hope. You Could Be The Reason Someone Lives.
